The Circassian Cultural Institute (CCI) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that promotes awareness of, and solutions to, problems facing Circassians worldwide. CCI’s mission is to educate the public about the plight of the Circassian people and the first genocide of the 19th century that resulted in the death of over one million Circassians.
CCI seeks to draw attention to the ongoing problems concerning the plight of Circassians in their ancestral homeland in the North Caucasus.
CCI seeks to promote Circassian identity by reaching out to Circassians worldwide, including the 5,000 strong Circassian Americans and their brothers and sisters living in Turkey, the Middle East, Europe,and the North Caucasus.
Through public conferences, workshops, and community gatherings CCI seeks to promote Circassian ethnic identity, language and culture in a way that enhances and preserves Circassian identity. CCI is funded by members of the Circassian community around the world and their friends.
